INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY - Who Inspires You?

Today, on International Women’s Day, we want to celebrate the achievements and ongoing fight for women’s rights all around the world and reflect on the progress that has been made towards gender equality. At makemepulse we strive to create and maintain a workplace where both women and men are treated equally, and where we can collectively work towards creating a better environment for all! We are passionate about using our talent to challenge the status quo, raise awareness and generate change - we recently had the privilege to collaborate on Girls Who Code Girls and The Female Gaze

To celebrate International Women's Day, we wanted to share some of the women that inspire us personally and professionally. Let us know who inspires you!

Manon Bin, Lead Designer:

I recently collaborated with Jennie Souiade, founder and Chief Creative Officer of Magentic. As a collaborator she led with grace, was kind, caring and supported and championed everyone in our team.

Camille Chalvin, Creative Strategist:

Mercedes Erra, Founder & CEO of BETC is a superwomen! She has built a world-class agency in a predominantly male world. As a child of an immigrant she uses her voice to empower women’s and human rights. She has also raised 5 children.

Nicolas Rajabaly, Co Founder & CCO:

When I discovered the work of Zaha Hadid she opened my mind to a whole new world of possibilities. Her work pushed the horizons of architectural thinking and is both stunning yet usable.

Norra Abdul Rahim, Executive Producer:

There are so many, Héloïse Hooton inspires me. She has rewritten the rules for PR companies and her commitment to purpose-driven ethical work is exemplary. Honor Harger is another, Executive Director (also curator and artist) of the ArtScience Museum in Singapore. Her leadership in turning the space around and setting up teamLab with a permanent exhibition space for all to enjoy is awesome.

At makemepulse we strive to create and maintain a workplace where both women and men are treated equally, and where we can collectively work towards creating a better environment for all!

Gregory Bruneau, Head of Production:

The music and song writing of Emily Haines inspires me; She is amazing both as part of the rock band Metric and as a soloist. I also love the work of composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, if you have not heard of them, you should check them out.

Helena Nattrass, Sales & Growth Lead:

Alma Har’el is an incredible film director and human storyteller. She is also Founder of Free The Work - a non profit Diversity and Inclusion movement supporting and celebrating underrepresented creatives. Such a boss.

Antoine Ughetto, Co-Founder & CTO:

Celebrating the women who have advanced female rights and helped drive change is important. Simone Veil, a French politician in the 70’s lobbied on many women's rights issues, most significantly passing the law to legalise abortion.

Sarah Cutler, Chief Growth Officer:

Jess Macdermot and Philippa Thomas have both been personal role models, at pivotal moments in my career and are both great female leaders in our industry. Michelle Craig, dear friend & creative rock star also inspires me daily. I also thoroughly enjoy the humour and fun of artist Hannah Shillito.
